SureShot Promotions was founded in 1997 in Hamburg by René Goldenbeld, who previously worked as Marketing-Sales Manager for WEA. He launched SureShot Promotions independently, working as external promotion coordinator for many international urban labels such as Def Jam, LOUD, Tommy Boy, Rawkus, Stones Throw, Rhymesayers, etc.
Over the years, he built and expanded SureShot towards a successful marketing agency, extending the services in the street promotion and outdoor advertising segment for various entertainment companies and brands throughout Germany, besides the traditional media promotion for artists, labels and brands.
Today, SureShot Promotions works for a wide range of artists from global superstars to promising new domestic talents from the fields of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Indie Pop, Alternative and Electronic. Clients include labels, distribution companies and artist label services from all over the world.
SureShot Promotions was honored multiple times for its assignment incl. platinum and gold awards for the promotion of XXXTentacion’s „Sad!“, Mos Def’s „Black On Both Sides“, Eminem’s „Stan“, Jay-Z’s „Hard Knock Life“, OutKast’s „Stankonia“, Akon’s „Trouble“, Big L’s „The Big Picture“ and Rema’s „Calm Down“.
We worked on Gold certified albums and singles by Ed Sheeran („No.6 Collaborations Project“), Cardi B („WAP“, „I Like It“), Roddy Ricch („The Box“), Kodak Black („ZEZE“), A Boogie Wit da Hoodie („Swervin“), XXXTentacion („Arms Around You“), Wiz Khalifa („Black and Yellow“), Internet Money („Lemonade“) and Jack Harlow („First Class“, „Lovin On Me“).
Almost simultaneously with SureShot, René Goldenbeld was co-founder of the music label Showdown Records in 1998. Until 2003, he built up several successful newcomer acts including bands like Deichkind, KC Da Rookee, Square One and Disarstar.
